Introduction
Meru County is one of Kenya’s 47 counties, situated in the northern Mount Kenya region. It is bordered by Isiolo, Tharaka-Nithi, Nyeri, and Laikipia counties. The county, which is home to the Meru people, has a population of 1.35 million, and its largest town and headquarters is Meru.
